Why people use it

Everything you need to make images smaller.

Most compressors re-save your file a little smaller and call it done. This one does the whole job. It converts to modern formats, resizes, hits an exact file size, and shows you what changed, all without sending your images anywhere.

Modern formats

Turn JPEG and PNG into WebP or AVIF and cut the file size by 30 to 50 percent at the same quality.

Resize and social presets

Scale by pixel size or percentage, or pick a ready-made size for Instagram, X, Facebook, and more. One click and you are done.

Target a file size

Need to get under 150 KB for an upload or an email? Type the number and the tool finds the best quality that still fits.

Before and after slider

Drag a split view across the picture to see what compression actually changed, not just a percentage on a card.

Batch and ZIP

Drop in a whole folder, tune every image together or one at a time, and download the lot as a single ZIP.

Genuinely private

It all runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and EXIF and GPS data gets stripped out along the way.

How it works

Three steps. Nothing leaves your computer.

  1. 01

    Add your images

Drag files in or browse for them. They load straight into your browser's memory, and that is as far as they go.

  2. 02

    Set it up

Choose a format, a quality level or a target size, and resize if you want. The preview updates as you change things.

  3. 03

    Save the results

Download images one by one, or grab the whole batch as a ZIP. It takes seconds.

The privacy difference

Your images never leave your device.

Most so-called online compressors send your files up to a server, process them there, and send them back. This one does not work that way. Every step runs locally in your browser, which is faster, has no limits, and keeps your pictures yours.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every image is decoded, resized, and re-encoded inside your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing gets sent over the network. Open your browser's Network tab while you compress a file and you will see it for yourself: zero uploads.
Which formats can I compress and convert?
You can compress JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and GIF, and convert any of them to WebP or AVIF. Those two modern formats are usually 30 to 50 percent smaller than JPEG at the same quality.
What does target file size do?
Pick a size like 150 KB and the compressor finds the highest quality that still lands under it, so you don't have to drag a slider back and forth. It is handy for upload limits and email attachments.
Is there a limit on file size or how many images I can do?
No. Because the work happens on your own device, you can compress hundreds of images in one go. The only real ceiling is how much memory your computer has.
Does it remove EXIF and location data?
Yes, every time. Re-encoding strips out metadata like EXIF, GPS coordinates, and camera details, so nothing private travels with the images you download.
Do I need an account, and what does it cost?
No account, and it costs nothing. There is no sign-up, no subscription, and no watermark on your images. Open the page and start compressing.
